Lunch Menus

Every KS1 child (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals at lunchtime. Here at Crockerne, we are delighted to be able to provide our younger pupils with a free, nutritious hot dinner as we feel very strongly that a healthy, balanced lunch will prepare them very well for their afternoon learning.

If your child has a food allergy, please provide us with medical evidence of this (letter from GP/dietitian etc) so we can cater for any dietary needs. We are unable to offer any alternative menus without this medical evidence.

If you are in receipt of a benefit which currently enables your child to have a free school meal, or your circumstances change and your child becomes eligible, it is really important that you still register. If you do claim for free school meals, our school receives funding from the government which we use to support your children with their learning as well as extracurricular activities.

Please see our Pupil premium page for information on who may qualify, or visit the North Somerset website at: www.n-somerset.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals

KS2

Unless you are in receipt of a benefit that enables your child to have free school meals, you will be required to pay for school meals if your child is in Year 3 or above.

Meals cost £2.45 and children have the choice of a meal prepared by our current Catering supplier, Aspens. An example of their current three week rolling menu can be viewed below.

You can pay for school meals quickly and easily using Select, which allows you to pre-order your meals with your children at home.  More information on Aspens, and a link to the Select system, can be found on their website: https://www.aspens-services.co.uk/expertise/#primaries
