Crockerne Primary School Admissions:

The admission number is set at 45 pupils per year group.

If a school receives more applications than the admission number, the over-subscription criteria will be used to determine who will be allocated places. All applications will be ranked in accordance with the criteria given in order of priority.

  1. Children in Care at the time of application and children who were previously in Care but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order) immediately following having been in Care.
  2. Children whose brother or sister will be attending the school at the time of admission.
  3. Children who attend or their parents attend, a Christ Church Sunday Service at least once per month for 12 months, with a signed recommendation from the Vicar and Family Ministry Worker, prior to the application date.
  4. Children living closest to the school.

In the Summer Term arrangements are made for parents and children to visit the school. Parents who wish to move their child from one maintained school to another are requested to first consult the present school and then to consult the intended school, which caters for the same age range.  Such changes of school are normally only permitted at the beginning of a school term except in the case of a changed address and will require confirmation from the new school or the Authority.
