To be the best me that I can be
Design and Technology is the focus of several of our REAL projects throughout the school. We teach all areas of DT as set out in the National Curriculum through the D&T Association's progressive instructional programme. This ensures the skills are taught and built on as the children move through the school.
Examples of projects where Design and Technology skills are taught
Year 1 - building bridges and houses as part of the Traditional Tales project
Year 2 - designing and making bread for the Great Fire of London project
Year 3/4 - designing and making frames for artwork for the Romans project
Year 5/6 - designing and making sets for the end of year performance.
Nursery and Reception have lots of opportunity to explore and develop their DT skills through continuous provision, enabling them to be creative in a safe, fun environment, both indoors and outside.
