Church

Wells 2014

We are extremely pleased to announce that our recent SIAMS (Church school Inspection) has judged us to be outstanding in our distinctiveness and effectiveness as a Church of England School.  The main findings are:

  • The role of collective worship in promoting the school’s distinctive Christian values has a strong impact on children’s achievement and personal development
  • The strong leadership by the co-headteachers, together with very good teamwork of the governors and staff, provides direction for the school’s distinctive Christian character
  • The high quality of the provision for spiritual development enables children to value faith

We would like to thank all parents, staff, governors and especially the children for working so hard to achieve this wonderful outcome.

Crockerne SIAMS Report (Nov 2014 DS) Final

Crockerne Church of England Primary School has strong links with all our local churches.  We work closely with Ruth Legg to develop the children’s understanding of our school church community.  Below are links we know you will find useful.

We are very proud of our Church School distinctiveness.  We have a family ethos to our school and this is commented on by visitors to our school.  This is supported by our Christian values for example trust, forgiveness, belonging, peace, justice, courage, hope, joy and most importantly love which ties them all together.
